SCOTT KUENNING MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP
Scott was a founding member of Lock One Community Arts and co-founder of the AC Swing Band. His vision was to share his love of music and ensure everyone in the region would have the opportunity to see local live performances.
Outside of his business and civic duties, Scott enjoyed watching sports and was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed collecting Winchester guns and family heirlooms, working on his classic muscle cars, and boating/waterskiing on Lake Cumberland. What Scott loved the most, however , was being with his family – his wife, Linda, and their five children and grandchildren.
The Lock One Community Arts Board recently established The Scott Kuenning Music Scholarship with the New Bremen Foundation. The first recipient of the Lock One Community Arts Scott Kuenning Music Scholarship was awarded to NBHS 2022 graduate Katie Fleming.
The LOCA Scott Kuenning Music Scholarship fund is professionally managed, along with other funds in the Foundation. Each year Lock One Community Arts will invest $500.00 so that an annual scholarship will be awarded to a New Bremen High School senior who plans to continue to include music in his/her life. If additional funds are contributed to this fund by other individuals interested in honoring Scott Kuenning through this scholarship, the LOCA Board will determine when an additional scholarship may be awarded.
Gifts made to this scholarship fund are tax deductible and can be a perfect way to honor or memorialize a family member or friend.
We invite the community to use this scholarship as a way to thank Scott for his many years of immersing in this area with his love of music. Scott was one of the founders of Lock One Community Arts and of course ACSwing.
